ESPN's John Clayton is reporting that the 49ers are considering bringing Jeff Garcia back to the Bay Area.
Garcia told the media on Monday that the Buccaneers don't want him back next season. He said the team has already informed him of their decision.
Clayton said that the 49ers are searching for a veteran quarterback, and that if the figures match-up, they could bring Garcia back. He was a three-time Pro Bowl selection during his years in San Francisco.
Garcia turns 39 years old on February 24th.
Clayton also reported that the Vikings are interesting in signing Garcia.
