After all of the talk surrounding the fight, it only made sense that the Civil War would go the distance.
It took twelve rounds, but Yerington's Jesse Brinkley defeated Reno's Joey Gilbert by unanimous decision in the long-anticipated Civil War fight on Saturday night at the Reno Events Center.
Judges scored the fight 120-107, 119-108, and 120-107.
The win helps Brinkley improve to 33-5 while Gilbert falls to 17-2.
