Dan Morgan is giving football another try.
The injury-plagued former Pro Bowl linebacker says he has filed
the paperwork with the NFL to come out of retirement and rejoin the
New Orleans Saints.
The move comes less than nine months after Morgan left the game
following numerous injuries. He had at least five concussions in
seven seasons with the Carolina Panthers.
Morgan says Friday from his home in Charlotte that his Achilles'
tendon and shoulder have healed. He's also been cleared by doctors
to return. He will join the Saints for offseason workouts next
