Curry Drops 39 In Davidson Win

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - Stephen Curry busted out of his shooting slump with 39 points and Davidson recovered from its first Southern Conference loss in more than two years by rallying past Wofford 78-61 on Thursday night.

Curry, who had made only 17 of 47 shots in the previous two games, made five of eight 3-pointers, but also continually beat his defenders off the dribble in rallying the Wildcats from a seven-point deficit early in the second half.

Curry shot 14-for-24 in his 27th game of 30 more points in his career. Andrew Lovedale added 10 points and nine rebounds for the Wildcats (21-4, 14-1), who had their 43-game regular-season conference winning streak snapped by the College of Charleston at home on Saturday.

Noah Dahlman scored 14 of his 18 points in the first half for Wofford (11-12, 7-7), which had its two-game winning streak snapped.
