Right-hander Jeff Weaver agreed to a minor league deal Monday with the Los Angeles Dodgers after taking last season off.
Weaver, who played for the Dodgers in 2004-2005, is 93-114 with
a 4.72 ERA in nine seasons. He has played in four postseasons,
including the 2006 World Series in which he won the clinching Game
5 for the St. Louis Cardinals.
He signed with the Seattle Mariners in 2007 and struggled with a
7-13 record and 6.20 ERA.
Weaver was 27-24 with a 4.11 ERA in his previous stint with the
Dodgers.
Weaver was a first-round pick of Detroit in the 1998 draft. He
has also pitched for Detroit (1999-2002), the New York Yankees
(2002-03) and the Los Angeles Angels (2006)
