Left-hander Scott Olsen has agreed to a $2.8 million, one-year contract with the Washington Nationals, avoiding arbitration.
The Nationals announced the deal Sunday.
Olsen was acquired with outfielder Josh Willingham in a
five-player trade with the Florida Marlins in November. The
25-year-old went 8-11 with a 4.20 ERA in 33 starts for Florida last
season, and is 31-37 with a 4.63 ERA in 102 games over his
four-year career.
