ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - The Orlando Magic didn't waste time filling their hole at point guard.

Orlando traded shooting guard Keith Bogans and cash to the
Milwaukee Bucks for point guard Tyronn Lue on Thursday, three days
after the Southeast Division-leading Magic lost All-Star point
guard Jameer Nelson to a shoulder injury.

"Tyronn is a veteran point guard who fits in well with our style of play," Magic general manager Otis Smith said in a statement. "He shoots well from 3-point range and adds needed depth at that position. We thank Keith for everything he gave to us and wish him all the best."

Lue has played 30 games this season for Milwaukee, averaging 4.7
points and 1.5 assists. He played 76 games for the Magic in 2003-04, and will be asked to help in Nelson's absence.

Nelson tore the labrum in his right shoulder in Orlando's 105-95
loss to the Mavericks on Monday night. He is deciding over the next
few weeks whether to have season-ending surgery or hold off and
attempt rehabilitation.

Bogans has played 36 games this season for Orlando, averaging
5.3 points and 3.1 rebounds. He has started 15 times.

Orlando did not have a third point guard behind backup Anthony
Johnson, and it had been active on the trade market since Nelson
was injured.

The team faired just fine without him in its first test.

Backup Anthony Johnson had a season-best 25 points in the
Magic's 125-96 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday
night. But the Magic (37-11) will face tougher competition than the
Clippers, and a steady backup point guard should help them contend
with Boston and Cleveland in the Eastern Conference.

The team used several combinations of point guards Wednesday
night, at times not having a true ball-handler on the court. Johnson, shooting guards Courtney Lee and J.J. Redick and 6-10 forward Hedo Turkoglu all took turns playing the point for the Magic.

Orlando was traveling to Indiana on Thursday before a game Friday night against the Pacers. Milwaukee was off before its next game Saturday against Detroit.
