McGee recently earned praise from Shaquille O'Neal who said "I really like him as a player. He is going to be a special player in this league. I really like his game. JaVale is going to be one of those big men that we talk about in the future."
McGee is averaging 5.6 points and 3.6 rebounds in just 13.2 minutes per game this season.
He had a career-high 18 points with nine rebounds against the Lakers last week.
