NASCAR driver Robby Gordon surged in the second day of the SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge to win the 2-day weekend race by more than 4 minutes.

Gordon started in the pole position with a trophy truck but
trailed by 13 seconds after the first day of racing Saturday. He
took the lead on the first lap Sunday and did not trail again.

Drivers raced eight laps each day over the 6.25-mile desert
course outside Laughlin, a Colorado River resort about 100 miles
south of Las Vegas.

Gordon finished in 1:57:54, 4:13 better than the trophy truck
team of Cameron Steele and Justin Smith.

Gordon's last win in the division was in November 2006 at the
Baja 1000.
