Nick Graziano has transferred from Nevada to play football at Arkansas Tech.
Graziano was the back-up to quarterback Colin Kaepernick this season, playing in six games with one start.
He was the starting quarterback back in 2007 until an injury during the team's fifth game paved the way for Colin Kaepernick. Kaepernick became the starter and went on to become one of the best QB's in the WAC.
The RGJ first broke the story, but it was confirmed tonight by the school.
Coach Ault released this statement to the media:
"Graz and I talked about this extensively and he has my full support. He's been a valuable part of our program for four years. It is going to be his last year of football and he wants to be able to play and I certainly understand that. We will miss him but we wish him all the best at Arkansas Tech.”
The Wolf Pack still have three quarterbacks returning from last year's team, including their starter in Kaepernick. Kaepernick was the WAC Player of the Year this season.
The Pack is also adding one more QB in recruit David Fales from Palma High School.
