Former Wolf Pack baseball player Chad Qualls is one of 13 major-league pitchers on the provisional roster of Team USA for the upcoming World Baseball Classic.
The final roster for the Classic will be released on February 24th.
Qualls became the Diamondbacks closer last season, finishing with a career-high 2.81 E.R.A and nine saves. He also struck out 71 batters in 73 and two-thirds innings pitched.
The World Baseball Classic begins on March 5th in Tokyo.
