Former Wolf Pack baseball star Ryan Church will meet with the New York Mets on Tuesday to exchange salary figures in an attempt to avoid salary arbitration.
Church was tendered an offer from the Mets back in December, which allowed the team to retain his major-league rights.
If the two sides cannot come to an agreement, then a hearing will be sent where both sides will present their arguments to an independent arbiter. The two sides then must adhere to the salary that the arbiter decides is fair.
Church made two million dollars last season, batting .276 with 12 home runs in just 90 games.
