Babbitt Named WAC Player of the Week Again

Luke Babbitt has done it again!

The Wolf Pack freshman was named the WAC Player of the Week on Monday for the second consecutive week.

Babbitt led the Wolf Pack to a pair of wins against Boise State and Fresno State. He recorded double-doubles in both games.

Babbitt scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a 77-63 win over Boise State. He also matched his career high with two blocks against the Broncos.

He then scored 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in a 65-60 win against Fresno State. The 13 rebounds against the Bulldogs is a career high for the freshman.

On the week, Babbitt averaged 20.0 points, 11.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game. He shot 50.0 percent from the field (12-of-24) and 83.3 percent from the charity stripe (15-of-18).

Babbitt is a local product, graduating from Galena High School in 2008. He led the Grizzlies to the 2007 State Championship and was the State Gatorade Player of the Year in 2008. He was also a McDonald's All-American.
