Patrick Allen held off PBA-legend Walter Ray Williams Jr. 225-223 to win the National Bowling Stadium Championship on Sunday.
It was a thrilling finish that came right down to the final frame.
Williams Jr. needed a strike to win or a 9-spare to tie. Instead he knocked down 8, leaving a 8-10 split. That handed the title over to Allen.
It's his 11th career PBA title. He also jumps up from 15th to 4th overall in the Player of the Year race.
