Manny too Expensive for Giants

It appears that it's really expensive for Manny to be Manny.

Sources inside the San Francisco Giants say that free-agent outfielder Manny Ramirez is "out-of-reach" due to his high salary demands.

The Giants had been interested in adding Ramirez' bat to their lineup. But his agent is looking for a four to five year deal worth about $25 million dollars per season.

The Giants don't want to be stuck with a big contract for multiple years. They were looking to sign Ramirez to a two-year contract for far less than $25 million per year.

Ramirez batted .332 with 37 home runs and 121 RBI last season, splitting the year between the Red Sox and the Dodgers. He actually led L.A. into the National League Championship Series.
