Manny By The Bay? Giants Make Slugger 3-Year Offer

The Giants have reportedly offered a contract to free-agent slugger Manny Ramirez.

Sports Illustrated has confirmed that San Francisco made a three-year offer with an option for a fourth year.

The Dodgers orginally offered Manny $45 million over two years, but eventually withdrew that.

The Giants have been lacking a big bat in the middle of the lineup since letting Barry Bonds go after the 2007 season.
