Wrestling Tournament Invading Reno

For the second straight week, Northern Nevada will be the home to one of the largest High School wrestling tournaments in the U.S.

Starting on Sunday, 96 teams from 7 states will start checking into Hotels, eating at restaurants, and spending money while attending the 33rd annual Asics Sierra Nevada Classic at the Reno Livestock Event Center.

Hosted by Reno H.S., the event known as "The Best in The West" kicks off Monday, December 29th at 9:00am and lasts through Tuesday with the Medal rounds starting at 5:00 PM on Tuesday.

There will be over 1200 Wrestlers wrestling on 15 mats in the double elimination event. The Medal round is wrestled on 4 Mats between the top 8 in each weight class.

Nearly every team in Northern Nevada will be involved, many have hopes of having at least 1 Champion.
