Maria Moore has picked up right where she left off. Moore's transition to division one basketball has gone pretty smoothly, and now she's the starting point guard for the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
Moore has started 9 of their 11 games, averaging nearly 8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4 assists per game.
Moore was a phenomenal player at Reed high school, where she was the Player of the Year her final two seasons.
She also spent two seasons at the junior college level, playing for the College of Southern Idaho, where she was a two-time All-American.
The Reno native enjoyed her best game at Texas Tech this year against UNLV, when she scored a career-high 18 points in their 75-63 win.
The Red Raiders are off to a 7-4 start in the Big 12 Conference. They host UCLA (9-1) on Monday, December 29th.
