UNLV's Rougeau named MWC player of week

UNLV senior Rene Rougeau has been named the
Mountain West Conference player of the week after averaging 15.5
points and 9.5 rebounds per game in wins at Fresno State and Nevada
last week.

The 6-foot-6-inch guard from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., was
6-of-9 from the field with 12 points and two blocks in just 27
minutes of action in the Runnin' Rebels 82-76 victory at Fresno.

In UNLV's 64-57 win over rival Nevada, he was 8-of-16 from the
field while scoring a career-high 19 points and grabbing a
career-best 13 rebounds. He also had two steals, two assists and
made all three of his free throw attempts to help the Rebels to
their third straight win over the Wolf Pack.
