Freshman Natalie Ratnavira scored the game-winning goal for Nevada as the Pack knocked off Hawai`i in the quarterfinals of the WAC Tournament Thursday night at Mackay Stadium.
Hawai`i took a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute as Alexis Choi scored off an assist from Kristen Oshiro. The Pack tied the game in the 29th minute. Karen Zmirak won possession of the ball on the left side of the field and hit a left-footed ball over the top of two Hawai`i defenders. Zmirak's cross found Samantha Miller who beat the defenders and keeper Kori Lu to tie the game at 1-1.
Ratnavira scored the game-winner for Nevada, and her first collegiate goal, in the 44th minute. Miranda Montejo started the play with a shot that hit off the left post. Ratnavira collected the rebound and beat Lu to the near post to put the Pack up 2-1.
Nevada keeper Sarah Hunt made two saves for Nevada while Lu made seven for Hawai`i. The Pack outshot the Rainbow Wahine 10-6 in the match including a 9-2 advantage in shots on goal. Montejo and Miller each took a game-high three shots for Nevada.
#6 Nevada will face #2 Fresno State tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. in the second game of the semifinals. Fresno State received a first-round bye and did not play a match today.
#4 Boise State eliminated #5 San Jose State in the first quarterfinal game today. Boise State will face #1 Utah State, who also received a first-round bye, tomorrow at 3 p.m.

The championship game is Sunday at 1 p.m. with the winner earning the WAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
