Charlie Wi finished in a tie for 9th place at the PGA Championship. The former Wolf Pack golfer was at 5 over for the weekend.
Wi shot an even par 70 in each of his first two rounds. He was just a stroke back heading into the third round, which was delayed a day due to the rain. He had to play a full 36 holes on Sunday.
Wi shot a one over 71 in the third round, but his four over 74 in the final round put him out of contention. His 9th place finish is the best he's ever done at a Major champinship. He's still searching for his first career PGA Tour victory.
Padraig Harrington won the PGA Championship by two strokes at three under par. It's his second major in a row. Harrington also won last month's British Open.
