RENO (AP) - University of Nevada, Reno administrators say they're still awaiting the results of an NCAA investigation into the school's athletic program, and insist there's no connection between the probe and the resignation of the men's golf coach.
Dr. Jean Perry is the university's faculty athletics representative to the NCAA.
She says the investigation is ongoing and the NCAA has been unable to provide a time frame for when it'll be completed.
The NCAA does not comment on investigations.
NCAA officials visited the campus in March and April as part of the investigation into allegations of rules violations by men's golf coach Rich Merritt, who resigned Wednesday.
The investigation follows a whistle-blower complaint filed against the university by former women's soccer coach Terri Patraw, who was fired in 2007.
Patraw also alleged an institutional lack of control of the school's athletic program.
