Kemp to Play in All-Star Game

Kemp will play for the National Team and is one of 22 of the nation’s top college seniors who will appear in the game, which is being played on the same court as the NCAA Final Four for the first time in the history of the event. CSTV will televise the game, which tips off at 5 p.m. Central Time (3 p.m. Pacific Time) on Friday.

Kemp is one of two western Athletic Conference players selected to the all-star game with Utah State’s Jaycee Carroll set to suit up for the American Team. The National Team will be coached by Clemson’s Oliver Purnell, while the American Team will be coached by former South Carolina mentor Dave Odom.

A two-time first-team All-WAC selection and a 2008 NABC All-District honoree, Kemp led the Wolf Pack and ranked second in the conference and 35th in the nation in scoring this season at 20.0 points per game. He finished his career ranked second on the Nevada all-time scoring list with 1,939 points and set the school career marks for three-pointers made (227) and attempted (597). Kemp helped the Wolf Pack to four WAC regular-season championships and three NCAA Tournament appearances in his career.
