The University of Nevada rifle team will travel to West Point, NY this week to conclude the 2007-2008 season at the NCAA Championships. This will be the Wolf Pack's seventh consecutive NCAA Championship appearance.

Coach Fred Harvey will send seniors Meghann Morrill and Lee Lemenager, junior Andrew Hickey, sophomore Sarah Smith and freshman Jessica Klatt to compete against seven schools that also qualified for the NCAA Championship.

While this will be Hickey and Klatt's first appearance, this will mark Lemenager and Smith's second and Morrill's third consecutive NCAA Championship appearance.

Last season, Morrill and Lemenager were selected to represent Nevada in the individuals contest. Both Lemenager and Morrill shot a 567 in small bore to finish 28th and 29th place, respectively.

The Pack will hit the road Tuesday night and arrive at West Point Wednesday afternoon. The Pack will practice Thursday before the competition starts with small bore on Friday and air rifle on Saturday.

The NCAA selected the top eight teams based on the highest regular season aggregate scores in small bore and air rifle with no more than one match at any given site. The average came from the top three highest scores to determine the eight teams.

The Pack will be taking on defending champion Alaska-Fairbanks, Kentucky, Nebraska, Texas Christian University, West Virginia, the United States Naval Academy and host United States Military Academy for the NCAA Championship.

The Wolf Pack finished the regular season 11-3.
