A state hearing officer has dismissed a complaint by former Nevada soccer Coach Terri Patraw who said she was fired for raising allegations of NCAA violations.
Hearing officer Bill Kockenmeister released his 56-page decision today saying Athletic Director Cary Groth lost confidence in Patraw and the threats of resignation and complaints about Patraw's salary had a negative impact on the Athletics Department.
Patraw released a statement tonight saying she is disappointed in the decision but will appeal to district court on Monday. She contends their was witness tampering and harrasment and The hearing officer himslef did not apply the legal statute correctly.
