Messenger Optioned to Fresno

The San Francisco Giants picked up Sparks Grad Randy Messenger in a trade last May..well today the Giants decided Messenger needs to spend some time in the minors.
The Giants optioned the relief pitcher to Triple A Fresno. Several reports in bay area newspapers indicate Mananger Bruce Bochy wasn't happy with Messenger's performance in Spring Training.
Messenger came to the Giants from Florida last season.
