MIAMI - Former Wolf Pack wide receiver Rishard Matthews has signed his first NFL contract.
It's a four-year deal with the Dolphins worth $2.15 million dollars. Scout.com is reporting he'll receive base salaries of $390,000, $480,000, $570,000 and $660,000.
Matthews was a seventh round pick in this year's NFL draft, number 227 overall.
He had 147 receptions for 2,243 yards and 13 touchdowns in his two seasons at Nevada. He also ran the ball 10 times for 75 yards and two scores.
Matthews was just as dangerous on special teams, returning 48 punts for 551 yards and two touchdowns.
He led the WAC in receptions last season, finishing with 91 catches for 1,364 yards and eight touchdowns. He was an All-WAC first team selection his senior season.
