Bishop Manogue Hires McConaghy as Boys Basketball Coach

RENO - Bishop Manogue has hired Brent McConaghy as the new Varsity Head Boys Basketball Coach.

Coach “Mac” is currently the head coach at Eagle Valley High School in Gypsum, Colorado. In his two years at Eagle Valley, he took the struggling program to its first state playoff appearance in fifteen years. Prior to the Eagle Valley position, McConaghy spent time at Aravda and Adams City High Schools in Colorado as a varsity assistant and associate head coach.

McConaghy is a 2007 graduate of the University of Colorado, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, and will soon receive a Master’s Degree in Coaching and Development from Adams State University. He is certified in secondary school social studies, and will also serve on the Bishop Manogue faculty.

McConaghy, who will make the move to Reno this summer, says he is eager to become part of the Bishop Manogue community.

“I’m looking forward to continuing the tradition of Bishop Manogue’s basketball program and its commitment to integrity both on and off the court.”

Coach McConaghy will be available for interviews after his move this summer
