McQueen Falls In State Championship

The South has risen again. Bishop Gorman beat McQueen 38-17 on Saturday in the 4A State Football Championship. It's the 4th straight year that a Southern school has won the State title.

McQueen came out a bit sluggish, falling behind 23-0. But touchdown runs by both Conner Brant and Styker Ngongoseke helped the Lancers close the gap to 23-17. The Gaels went on to score another 15 unanswered points to seal the victory.

McQueen has won five State Championships in football; the last coming back in 2002.
