Cordova Back With Jaguars

Jorge Cordova is getting a second chance in Jacksonville....actually a third chance is more accurate. The former Wolf Pack star signed a contract this week to play for the Jags for the third time this season.

Cordova was one of the Jaguars' final cuts during Training Camp. He re-signed with the team in early November, playing in one game against the Titans. But he was released the following week.

Cordova was brought in to add depth to a depleted linebacking core. Jaguars' star Mike Peterson is out indefinitely with a broken right hand.

Cordova was a third round pick by Jacksonville back in the 2004 NFL Draft. He spent the first two seasons of his career on the Injured Reserve. In 13 games last year, playing mostly on Special Teams, Cordova recored 11 solo tackles and blocked one punt.

He still holds the school record at Nevada with 29.5 career sacks.
