The Milwaukee Bucks have a log-jam at the point guard spot, and Ramon Sessions is the odd man out. He will be shipped to the Bucks' Tulsa affiliate in the NBA Developmental League.
The former Wolf pack star was buried on the Milwaukee depth chart behind veterans Mo Williams and Charlie Bell. Sessions, along with forwards David Noel and Awvee Storey, were on the inactive list for the team's regular-season opener in Orlando on Wednesday and will probably be inactive again for Friday's game against the Charlotte Bobcats. They will likely join Tulsa sometime next week.
Bucks' GM Larry Harris told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that Sessions’ time would be better spent getting some game experience in Tulsa.
"With Sessions, it was a situation where he's a guy down the road in the future. All of us agreed that we would keep him and possibly send him to the D-League here shortly to get some time down there and get a chance to see him play in an NBA setting and do more evaluating that way."
Sessions played in five exhibition games, averaging 1.4 points, 1.4 assists and 7.0 minutes per game.
