Wily Mo Pena Clears Waivers, Reno Next?

RENO - Wily Mo Pena could be re-joining the Reno Aces.

Pena was placed on waivers by the Arizona Diamondbacks on July 15th. He cleared waivers on Wednesday, giving him 72 hours to either accept his assignment to Triple-A, or declare for free agency.

Pena was leading the Pacific Coast league with 21 home runs and 63 RBI when he was called up by the D-Backs. He was also batting .363 in 63 games with the Aces.

He batted just .196 with seven RBI in 46 at-bats with Arizona. He did have five home runs.
