Sean Burroughs Outrighted to Reno

RENO - Sean Burroughs was outrighted to Triple-A Reno by the D'backs on Sunday. Reports say the move was made to open up a roster spot for Wily Mo Pena.

Burroughs batted .250 in 24 at-bats with Arizona this season, serving mostly as a pinch-hitter. He was much better in Reno, hitting a team-high .386 with 15 RBI.

Pena has been phenomenal in Triple-A this season. He is batting .363 with a league-high 21 home runs and 63 RBI. Pena will bat as the designated hitter with the Diamondbacks, who play nine of their next 12 games on the road against American League teams.
