PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks have recalled Reno Aces catcher Konrad Schmidt.

In 31 games for the Aces this season, Schmidt was batting .274, with eight doubles, three home runs, and 14 RBI.

It's his second stint in the majors. The former Nevada Wolf Pack star played four games for the Diamondbacks in 2010, batting .125.

In a corresponding move, Patrick Corbin was demoted to Reno. He had five starts for Arizona this season, compiling a record of two wins and three losses with a 5.74 ERA. Corbin began the season with Double-A Mobile.

In other news, the Diamondbacks have also reinstated starting pitcher Daniel Hudson. He is scheduled to start against the San Francisco Giants Sunday. Hudson made one rehab start for the Aces, earning the victory while striking out two while.
