RENO, Nev.—Reno hopped out to an early lead, and Barry Enright cruised to his fourth victory Sunday afternoon, as the Aces won their third-straight game, 9-4, over the Tacoma Rainiers at Aces Ballpark.

Reno scored three in the first and second innings, then added two more in the sixth to build an 8-0 lead. Tacoma would push across a pair of runs in the seventh and eighth frames, but the Rainiers never seriously threatened the Aces’ advantage. The win was Reno’s third-straight and put the club in position for its second series sweep of the season on Monday afternoon.

Enright moved to 4-1 on the season, scattering two runs on four hits over 6.1 innings of work. After his exit, Bryan Woodall allowed two runs in 1.1 innings, and Mike DeMark recorded the game’s final four outs without allowing a hit.

The loss fell to Tacoma starter Anthony Vasquez (3-2), who surrendered six runs—five earned—in five frames.

At the plate for Reno, Jake Elmore had three hits and three RBIs, while Josh Bell and Rusty Ryal collected two hits and two RBIs apiece. Randy Ruiz singled, stretching his hitting streak to 16 games.

The Aces go for the series sweep on Monday afternoon at Aces Ballpark. RHP Joe Martinez (0-2, 4.24 ERA) toes the slab for Reno, while Tacoma will counter with RHP Erasmo Ramirez (0-0, No ERA). First pitch is set for 1:05 p.m. PT, and nachos will be available for just $1 as part of Om-Nom-Nomdays presented by KTVN Channel 2 News.
