RENO, Nev. - Diamondbacks outfielder Chris Young is expected to join the Reno Aces on a rehabilitation assignment this week.
Young has been on the disabled list since he crashed into the outfield fence back on April 17th, suffering a small ligament tear in his shoulder. He's missed the Diamondbacks last 26 games.
Young was a National League All-Star back in 2010. He's batting .410 this season, with five home runs and 13 RBI.
Arizona manager Kirk Gibson says that Young will likely join Reno tomorrow when they open up an eight-game home stand.
