Bauer Sent to Aces, Albaladejo Joins D-Backs

RENO - Rookie pitcher Trevor Bauer was sent back down to Triple-A Reno on Wednesday.

Bauer made four starts with Arizona this season, going 1-2 with a 6.06 ERA. He walked 13 batters and had 17 strikeouts in 16 1/3 innings pitched.

Bauer was much better in the minors this season. He started eight games in Reno, going 4-0 with a 2.82 ERA. He also had 56 strikeouts in 44.2 innings of work. Bauer was also 7-1 at Double-A Mobile.

The Diamondbacks re-called Jonathan Albaladejo to take Bauer's roster spot. Albaladejo was a Triple-A All-Star this season, ranking second in the league with 17 saves. He was 3-1 with a 3.35 ERA in 35 appearances.
