TUCSON, Ariz.—Mike Jacobs drove in a run and Patrick Corbin was sharp early, but Monday’s series opener between Reno and Tucson was suspended by rain after three innings with the Aces on top, 1-0, at Kino Stadium.
Monday’s game will resume in the fourth inning on Tuesday, beginning at 5:30 p.m. PT. The regularly scheduled game will be a seven-inning affair, and it’s set to begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1.
Before the storms overwhelmed Kino Stadium, Corbin worked three scoreless frames, scattering just a hit with three strikeouts. Reno scored the game’s lone run in the second inning when Mike Jacobs singled home A.J. Pollock to give the Aces an early advantage.
Both games of Tuesday’s doubleheader can be heard live on Fox Sports 630 AM or by visiting RenoAces.com.
Reno will return home on Tuesday, July 24.
