WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif.— Barry Enright won for the sixth time in the month of June and the offense did the rest, as the Reno Aces topped Sacramento, 9-2, Sunday afternoon at Raley Field.

Enright (7-2) struck out a season-high nine batters in 6.1 innings, surrendering two runs—both earned—on just two base hits. With today's win, he became the first Reno Aces pitcher ever to win six games in a single month, and just the third pitcher in the entire minor leagues to accomplish the feat this season. Enright tossed 60 of his 96 pitches for strikes before being ejected for throwing behind River Cats catcher Josh Donaldson in the seventh inning.

With the game tied 2-2, Reno exploded for six runs over the fifth and sixth innings. Cole Gillespie broke the tie with a solo home run to lead off the fifth before Evan Frey made it 4-2 with a run-scoring single. In the sixth, Gillespie broke the game open with a two-run single, and Sean Burroughs and Lucas May added run-scoring hits to extend Reno's lead. The Aces pitching did the rest, tossing the fourth two-hitter in franchise history.

River Cats starter Travis Banwart (4-5) suffered the loss, giving up seven earned runs in 5.2 innings of work.

Gillespie finished three-for-four with three RBIs Sunday, hitting one of the Aces’ three solo home runs. May also homered for Reno, and Frey hit his first-career Triple-A long ball to lead off the game. Burroughs recorded his fourth-straight multi-hit game, going two-for-four to raise his batting average to .412 in 32 games with Reno this year.

The first-place Aces take on Sacramento again Monday evening at Raley Field. Reno will send LHP Tom Layne (6-3, .53 ERA) to the mound, while the River Cats will counter with RHP Doug Mathis (0-4, 3.68 ERA). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
