RENO, Nev.—Reno put up five runs in the second inning, but could muster just two ninth-inning runs the rest of the way, as Las Vegas topped the Aces, 11-7, in the series finale Friday night at Aces Ballpark.

After Vegas got on the board with three runs in the top of the second, Reno answered with a five-spot in the home half of the frame. Angel Berroa opened the scoring with a two-run double, followed by a run-scoring triple off the bat of Evan Frey. Ryan Langerhans—playing in his first game with Reno since being traded from Seattle earlier in the day—capped the five-run inning with a two-run home run, giving Reno a 5-3 lead.

But it was all Las Vegas after that, as the 51s outscored Reno 8-2 the rest of the way. The win gave the 51s a season series split with Reno for the second time in three years of the Silver State Diamond Challenge, the annual contest between the Silver State's two Triple-A franchises.

Barry Enright (8-3) suffered the loss for Reno, after allowing six earned runs in 5.2 innings pitched, striking out three and walking two.

The win went to 51s starter Kyle Drabek (2-2), whose only blemish was Reno's five-run fifth. Drabek went six innings, striking out two and walking two.

Berroa led the charge offensively for the Aces, finishing 4-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs. Frey went 3-for-5 with a double, triple and two RBIs, while Langerhans drove in three runs in his Aces debut.

Reno hits the road Saturday for a four-game series against the Fresno Grizzlies at Chukchansi Park. In the series opener, the Aces will send LHP Tom Layne (8-4, 6.52 ERA) to the hill against Fresno LHP Matt Yourkin (7-5, 4.92 ERA). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. PT.
