TACOMA, Wash.—Nearly every major offensive franchise record was shattered for the Aces Friday night, as Reno cruised past the Tacoma Rainiers 21-5 in a historic series finale at Cheney Stadium.

The Aces scored early and scored often, putting up their most impressive offensive effort of the season. Reno set franchise records for runs in a game (21), runs in an inning (eight in the fifth) and hits (23). Individually, two Aces—Ed Rogers and Alex Romero—collected five hits, a feat that had never been accomplished before in franchise history. Rogers had the first three-double game in club history and scored five runs, a franchise record. He is now 8-for-11 since joining the Aces on June 2.

Reno catcher John Hester followed-up a grand slam on Thursday with a three-run homer and a triple on Friday. All nine members of the Reno lineup collected at least one hit and each of the first seven batters in the order drove in a run.

The win went to Reno starter Tony Barnette (4-5), who scattered three runs on four hits over five innings of work. Barnette walked seven and punched out two.

The loss fell to Tacoma’s Ryan Rowland-Smith (1-1), who was pitching on a Major League rehab assignment. Rowland-Smith surrendered 12 runs on 14 hits over 4.2 innings.

The Aces now head to Portland to kick-off a four-game series with the Beavers at PGE Park. In the opener, RHP Seth Etherton (4-4, 6.11 ERA) gets the nod for Reno to face his former team. Etherton will be opposed by Portland’s RHP Will Inman (0-0, 7.04 ERA). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m., and the action can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 1450 AM.

The Aces return home on June 11 for a four-game set with Salt Lake and a three-game series with intrastate rival Las Vegas. June 11 will be a Coors Light Thursday night, with $2 Coors Lights until the fifth inning.
