LAS VEGAS (AP) - The Nevada Development Authority is
re-launching TV commercials encouraging Southern Californians move to their families and businesses to Nevada.
The 30-second testimonials will air in Nevada's neighboring
state until March 29.
Development authority president Somer Hollingsworth says the ads
try to ward off hesitation about moving to the Silver State by
focusing on positive lifestyles, schools, community activities and
business support in Nevada.
A similar campaign last year included testimonials from Tony
Hsieh of Zappos.com, and Las Vegas entertainers Wayne Newton
and Terry Fator.
This year's ads include testimonials from Ultimate Fighting
Championships President Dana White, sports talk radio personality
J.T. "The Brick," and NV Energy CEO Michael Yackira.
