LAS VEGAS (AP) - A poll in Nevada shows Mitt Romney has commanding support from prospective Republican caucus-goers over
rival Newt Gingrich, just days before the GOP meets to allocate the
state's 28 presidential convention delegates.
The survey reported Thursday by the Las Vegas Review-Journal and
KLAS-TV 8NewsNow (http://bit.ly/wu0gaF ) gives the former
Massachusetts governor 45 percent support, while the former House
speaker has 25 percent.
Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum edges Texas Congressman Ron Paul 11 percent to 9 percent.
The poll was conducted by the Cannon Survey Center at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
It questioned 426 Republicans statewide by home and cellular phones Friday through Tuesday. That was before Romney's Florida
primary win over Gingrich.
The survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.75 percentage points.
