LAS VEGAS (AP) - Volunteers in Las Vegas plan another search in
and around the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area for a
missing 46-year-old hiker who was last seen more than two weeks
ago.
The missing man's brother, Darrell Kirk, says the main group
effort will begin at 7 a.m. Saturday at a command post at a day
hikers parking area on Moenkopi Road off State Route 159.
Kirk says another group including qualified rock climbers plans
to set out from the Sandstone Quarry area.
Kirk's brother Ronald Kirk sent a text message Jan. 16 saying he
was going hiking.
He was reported missing Jan. 22 and his vehicle was found Jan.
23 in the Calico Basin area.
Las Vegas police have said they don't suspect foul play.
