HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) - A judge in Henderson set a March evidence
hearing for a former fugitive Las Vegas-area pastor who was
returned in custody from Mexico to face multiple child sex assault
charges.

Otis Holland said little during a brief hearing Tuesday at which
Henderson Justice of the Peace David Gibson Sr. scheduled a March
21 preliminary hearing.

The 55-year-old former pastor of the United Faith Church was
arrested Jan. 25 in Tijuana, Mexico.

He had been sought on warrant charges of conspiracy, child abuse
and 11 counts of sexual assault of a victim under 16.

Holland skipped bail last year after his December 2010 arrest on
allegations that he abused girls as young as 7 years old, and told
them and their mothers that he was counseling them.

Imagine the state's and country's surprise to learn yet another member of the clergy has been diddling the kiddies. It's getting to the point where all the once "honorable" professions are staffed by the pervs: Teachers {most recently, the 2 in L.A., and several local Reno/Sparks offenders); sports coaches [most recently, Penn State & Syracuse]; Congress [House, w/ the pageboy se-,te-xting scandal, Senate w/ the "mens' room footsey" bandit]; and the long, illustrious clergy scandals [not limited to Catholic priests, but also ministers and Rabbis, too]. Plus, any more, as evident by the most-recent Sparks teacher, it isn't even limited to just men as pervs any more! I think the news/surprise will be to learn that these activities have STOPPED occurring, rather than hearing of yet another incident! Shame on all of you!
