LAS VEGAS (AP) - A 26-year-old Las Vegas woman is facing a
felony drunk driving charge after police say the vehicle she was
driving plowed into a bus bench, critically injuring a 15-year-old
boy.
Las Vegas police say Noel Lardeo was arrested shortly after the
crash a little after 5 a.m. Sunday on Spring Mountain Road near
Torrey Pines Drive. That's several miles west of the Las Vegas
Strip.
The name of the teen wasn't immediately made public. Police say
he was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition.
Police say neither Lardeo nor her 36-year-old male passenger in
the 2005 Acura TSX was hurt in the crash.
Records show that Lardeo is being held at the Clark County jail
pending an initial court appearance on DUI, open container and
driver's license charges.
