Rumjungle Nightclub in Las Vegas Files Chapter 11
The owner of the Rumjungle nightclub is seeking Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, asking a court to prevent the Mandalay Bay resort on the Las Vegas Strip from shutting it down.

LAS VEGAS (AP) - The owner of the Rumjungle nightclub is seeking Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, asking a court to prevent the Mandalay Bay resort on the Las Vegas Strip from shutting it down.
The bankruptcy filing Tuesday by Rumjungle Las Vegas LLC listed assets of $12 million and liabilities of $1.145 million, including a disputed $1.1 million in rent owed to Mandalay Bay.
Rumjungle manager Neil Faggen on Wednesday blamed the filing on
a legal dispute with the MGM Mirage Inc. property over the opening of the eyecandy sound lounge & bar.
Rumjungle says its contract calls for it to be the only nightclub at Mandalay Bay.
Faggen says Rumjungle intends to remain open.
An MGM Mirage spokesman declined immediate comment. The company
typically does not comment on litigation.
