Shooter Sought After Fleeing Nye County Deputy
Nye County sheriff's deputies are looking for a 24-year-old Pahrump man accused of shooting at a sheriff's deputy and escaping during a traffic stop.

PAHRUMP, Nev. (AP) - Nye County sheriff's deputies are looking for a 24-year-old Pahrump man accused of shooting at a sheriff's deputy and escaping during a traffic stop.
Detective David Boruchowitz (buh-ROOK'-uh-witz) says deputy shot back, but no one was wounded in the 9:30 p.m. Monday shooting near
Thousandaire Boulevard and Plantation Street.
Daniel Dixon is sought on charges including attempted murder of a peace officer, assault on a peace officer with a deadly weapon and being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm.
Boruchowitz says it started when the deputy stopped a vehicle with Dixon and others inside.
Pahrump is about 60 miles west of Las Vegas.
