INDIAN SPRINGS, Nev. (AP) - Officials say a semitrailer carrying medical waste has rolled over on a highway about 60 miles northwest of Las Vegas.
Clark County Fire Department spokesman Scott Allison says early reports that the tractor-trailer was carrying some sort of radiological product are incorrect and nothing toxic was on board.
Allison says the semi rolled onto its side just before noon Monday on U.S. 95 near Indian Springs, about 60 miles northwest of Las Vegas. He says the containers it was hauling did not spill any material.
Allison also says there are no reports of injuries. He says area schools were briefly locked down until it was determined the material being hauled wasn't toxic.
