LAS VEGAS (AP) - A man found guilty in July of federal racketeering and assault charges has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.
U.S. Attorney Daniel Bogden says 48-year-old James Wallis was sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court.
Wallis was among five alleged members of the white supremacist gang convicted in July. The other four are scheduled for sentencing in December.
Prosecutors have alleged the Aryan Warrior gang was a criminal enterprise that assaulted inmates, dealt drugs, bribed prison guards and ran gambling operations in several state prisons and detention centers.
Fourteen people were originally charged in the case in 2007. Seven pleaded guilty. One is awaiting trial.
